Ignorance is not bliss

Ignorance is bliss some smart fellow comes along and says. Reasoning goes that knowing nothing will keep one happy as they will have to worry about nothing.

A problem occurs in the hearts of men: they desire to know. So, well, ignorance isn't that very blissful now. People learn things and now they're stuck. They don't have complete knowledge. In the end: unbliss.

In my reality, intelligence is bliss. Knowing how everything works keeps you in control. You'll be able to understand the world.

Suppose you were ignorant about something. Then something supposedly unexpected comes up. Then Mr. Ignorant won't be prepared for that event. Ouch. But if you were intelligent and you were expecting that 'surprise' event. Then Mr.Intelligent would be confident and be able to handle the situation comfortably: Control. Security. Happiness.

So there.

Got the point, but it doesnt apply to every damn thing. It's good not to know somethings!

@ Adi, the real perspective can only be understood by people who have had experiences.

hey!! nice one! i agree to the point...good to know things than not to know and act foolish...confidence requires intelligence and not ignorance as bliss....

Yea, it's pretty vague. I made a draft but left it back in college. I wrote whatever I could remember from memory.
