I hate Anti-Americanism

If you are Anti-American, you are also selfish, jealous and anti-democratic. I'm tired of hearing people talk about US-invade-iraq-oil, US-conquer-world, US-kill-us-all. Bah! People never look at the good things America is doing/has done for the world. Everyone hates and is jealous of the best.
America has contained Communism, is leading the war on terror and it's consumers is the only reason for a boom in the economy of countries like China and India. Well, I agree that US made a mistake by going to war on Iraq, but everyone makes mistakes. It's what makes them human. America is the only nation that has the will, power and capability to take on terrorism. Let's see India or Egypt go off to war in Afghanistan. Nobody looks at the pressure on Bush. Every damn problem on the planet from Iran to shitty shuttles is thrown at his desk. He's a human like you and me.
The US is actually taking steps to reduce pollution. Not many other countries are doing that seriously. India continues to pump out megatons of noxious fumes in the atmosphere at an ever increasing rate. And these silly Indians make all pomp and show that they are great and are the next super-power. It takes more than 4 big cities to make a super-power.
I'm not Americanist. I am Anti-Anti-Americanist. Anti-Americanism is for losers.

The way you have presented the facts are correct. Everybody makes mistakes. Mistakes have to be acknolwedged and apologized for which is sadly not the case here. Some Congress party people in India have acknowledged that the Emergency was a mistake.

That apart, doing good deeds is not a bank account which entitles you to do whatever you like(withdraw money when you feel like).

I have admired the United States from Childhood but one can only hope that what it has done in Iraq does not cause future loss of innocent American lives. For the leader of the free world, it was a blot on democracy too with practially the whold world and United nations agsinst the United states at that time.

It is true that India is far from being a superpower but making a statement that implies all Indians are silly is a little indiscreet if I may say so. Its not your fault for your views seem to be a reflection of your age.

There are lots of smart Indians. They aren't the ones who make a big deal about them being so great. It's the others.

Glad you liked my blog, Beau. Although there probably won't be anything major for the next two months. I have some 4-6 exams to prepare for in the following 2 months.
